We are responsible for maintaining and improving the roads, footpaths, bridges (with the exception of railway bridges), street lights and traffic signals in Darlington. This includes 574km (366 miles) of roads, over 12,500 street lights, and 90 bridges (including culverts and subways).

The A1(M) and A66 are maintained by Highways England [external link].

Reporting a broken pavement, an obstruction to a pavement or road or a broken streetlight

You can report a faulty street light or a pot hole through our report it system. Alternatively you can call us on 01325 405222, or on 07966 347101 in an emergency. Other issues with roads and paths should reported to Customer Services by email at [email protected] or by phone on 01325 405222.
