The Park Place site is located in the centre of Darlington, a stone’s throw from the town centre with fantastic transport links by bus and train and via all local roads including the A1(M) and A66.

Properties at Park Place, Model Place, Hargreave Terrace and Swan Street consist of 1 and 2 bedroom accommodation.

In the heart of Park Place is the Hargreave Terrace good neighbour scheme which offers accommodation focusing on a person’s independence but still with the added reassurance of a scheme manager and pull cord system in their home. The Park Place community centre is close by with regular activities to build friendships and keep residents involved and entertained.

The site has medical centres close by with Clifton Court Medical Practice and Park Place Health Centre both a short walk away.

Within a couple of minutes of Park Place is St Cuthberts Church which dates back to the 12th Century and now hosts the Friends of St Cuthbert’s and Mothers’ Union as well as a local choir, volunteering and bell ringing.

Park Place is within walking distance of South Park, a 19th century public park of 26 hectares which offers fantastic wildlife and a range of activities and walks.

Fun Fact

South Park in Darlington is claimed to be the oldest public park in the North East, being laid out in 1851. The site was originally known at Bellasses Park, the People’s Park, Darlington Park or just the Park.
